HEALTHY COSTCO GROCERY LIST
My closest friends know that I’m the kind of person that LOVES grocery shopping! I love walking down the aisles, checking out the latest healthy food products, and in my favorite stores I could probably give you a run down of which aisle any food is on. Out of all the grocery stores, Costco has to be one of my very favorites! As a kid I would look forward to Saturday afternoons where Costco samples would basically be my lunch, but since COVID and samples are few and far between, I’ve decided there are still many reasons why I love Costco. Here are my top 5 reasons:
Large quantities - this means that I only have to make this run every few weeks, and that the food lasts longer. Granted, I’ll be the first to admit that it is hard to walk out of Costco without having just spent at least $100. However, I like to tell myself that “at least we are buying food that will last a while” whether or not that is true.
Well priced - for buying things like meat, Costco is the arguably the most affordable place to shop. On that note, gas is another one of the best Costco deals!
Great customer service - I love Costco for it’s values, return policy, and great customer service. If you ever find anything that was poor quality, they will return it in a heartbeat.
Wide variety of items - Costco has just about anything you could need! Since it is just me and my husband, we shop at a smaller grocery store too to buy less bulk items. However, if you were shopping for a large family you could get most of what you need there!
Healthy Costco items - I send a lot of my clients to Costco to get many of their different healthy food items. They have so many different types of clean protein choices, healthy pre-made meals, frozen fruits and vegetables, the essential staple items, and so much more!
Now onto the fun part…What do I buy at Costco? I’ve written this blog post to hopefully give you a little bit of a direction on possible items to buy while still eating healthy. Of course, this doesn’t include every healthy item Costco has and I hope to update it occasionally as I find new items. Take it with a grain of salt as each Costco holds different items and may not have specific items at every season. I’ve attached most of the product links for each item so you can see what the packaging looks like, nutrition facts, allergens, etc. but you should be able to find them all at Costco! Best of luck and HAPPY SHOPPING!
