INSTANT POT GROUND BEEF GYROS
I am a huge fan of Greek food! Everything from the flavors, spices, and fresh vegetables topped on every salad or gyro to the Greek yogurt Tzatziki dressing, it all tastes so fresh!
This recipe is so simple - ground beef, and turns it into a delicious lamb-like meat that you can top on a Greek salad, make into a gyro, or even eat as a lettuce wrap. This recipe is quick, easy, and is a good way to feed fresh vegetables to your kids in a way they will like them. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup chopped cucumber

INSTRUCTIONS
If you are using frozen ground beef, set out a few hours prior to making your meal. If you are using fresh ground beef, skip this step.
Prepare chopped onions. In a small bowl combine all the of spices to make the greek seasoning.
Follow the following steps either using an instant pot, or a large skillet. See skillet instructions below:
Instant Pot: Turn your Instant Pot to ‘Saute’ mode. Add olive oil, chopped onion, and garlic. Saute for 4-5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
Add ground beef and start to brown, stirring continually. The meat doesn’t need to be cooked all the way through, but should be starting to cook. When the ground beef is slightly pink and separated (no longer 1 big piece), add the greek seasoning and beef/chicken broth. Stir.
Cancel the Saute mode. Seal the lid on the Instant Pot, and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes. Release steam.
When you open the instant pot there will still be some liquid. Set instant pot back to Saute mode, and stir until juice is absorbed and beef thickens up.
OR…
Skillet: If you are not using an instant pot, heat a large skillet to medium-high heat. Add olive oil, chopped onion, and garlic. Saute for 4-5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
Add ground beef and start to brown, stirring continually. When almost completely cooked through (no pink), add the greek seasonings and 2 tbsp of broth.
Cook until the broth is cooked out, and the ground beef is cooked through completely.
Build your gyro with the desired toppings. Enjoy!
